Cast Iron Pipe Century Club and Cast Iron Pipe Sesquicentennial Club
The Cast Iron Pipe Century Club was organized in 1947 to publicly recognize water utilities with Cast Iron mains that have provided service for 100 years or more.
The Cast Iron Pipe Sesquicentennial Club was organized in 1989 to recognize water utilities with Cast Iron mains that have provided continuous service for 150 years or more. Although Cast Iron pipe has been superseded by Ductile Iron Pipe, the Ductile Iron Pipe Research Association continues to sponsor the Century and Sesquicentennial clubs.
